this was sometime back but the bass is candy apple red with black binding and the serial number ends in 3333. It was taken in chicago some years ago but thought it would not hurt...

I was browsing this forum because of some guy that has some stuff on ebay for cheap, i bid on it, but because of his paypal only payment option, i was kind of leery, so i decided to search here,I saw your post. I bought a used rickenbacker at a music store 4 years ago that has a different serial number than that, are you sure it was 8888? i've got one with a really close serial,it would look similar in poor lighting, 3388zl, 4003 rickosound capable, that has those identical colors, and from what i looked up it was made in 86. Anyways
