strange noise

Hey, got a vibration noise comin from my amp only when I play on the e string 10th through 12th frets. its a Peavey mark VIII series amp, any thoughts on what it could be? or maybe a fix? Its loud! we could hear tonight over drums, 2 guitars, and myself. Thought we knocked something loose on or in the wall at first.

Head & cab, or combo?..

Have you:

- tried it with the head off the cab?
- snugged all of the rig's screws?
- checked for a rattling grill cloth frame/metal grill?
- tried the amp in a different room?

Its a head unit, did tighten all the screws. Its diffenitly coming from the inside, I had 1 of the guys push on the back of it and it would almost go away. And ya we did move it around the room, away from the wall and such, no differance. what ever it is, its inside. Not to sure I wanna attemped taking it apart considering how old it is and I'm also a dumb*$s when it come to this stuff.
