who's done it?
how'd you do it?
any cool ones in your town?
San Francisco has some greats:
the fat opera people on maiden lane
edwin, the tap dancing guy on powell street
the breakdancing kids on market
the string quartet in the mornings at montgomery street bart station
the blind christian accordian player, afternoons at montgomery
there was a guy who set up a tight rope between two trees on maket street, stood on the rope with one foot, and played fiddle. only seen him once though.
the guy who drums on buckets in front of rasputin records-sometimes he has a real drumset, and he plays with a bass player
the jimi hendrix impersonator
the james brown impersonator
i'm thinking of joining the fray with these folks. i'm a block away from the gates to chinatown, so that looks like a pretty good corner for it. i can borrow a battery powered amp from a friend of mine.
practice in public and pick up some beer money!
