String cleaner (Especially for Canada)

I have one of these (No connection tot he company at all)
And it works great, but they can be a bit pricey -so I bought mine when I saw them on sale.

Well the same Canadian chain store has them marked down seriously (Again no connection with that Canadian Chain store.)
But for any other Canadian members who might want one they're about 1/6th of the normal price this month.

they work great so worth picking up.


(And if this violates anything--although I see many threads saying how much they like this or that, etc--then I get it if it's removed. I don't profit in any fashion from this)

Neat.
I just use the same kind of microfiber cloth I use for my car after every play to wipe the strings, fretboard, neck and the top of the body where the left wrist goos up a bit while playing.
Keep a rag in every case and gigbag.

Guess this would save some space, though it only wipes the string area.

I have microfibre cloths as well--but this is easier to use--and to get under the strings--it also cleans the sides of the strings.
And the fingerboard too--which is nice on my fretless.

But how does it clean in between the perpendicular windings of round wound strings
(where i imagine most of the gunk would accumulate )
if the cleaning motion is lateral?

By using a rag you can use more pressure on the strings. I have this product. Its easy and works fine. I just like using more pressure and hearing the squeaking of the strings. Yet its good to have one of these in your gig bag just in case.
