String ID

Does anyone know what these rounds are?

The E string has a brass ball end, the A string has a red, the D string is black, and G is brass.

Thanks!

Ahh, yeah, I thought that may be the case. Although I thought it was unlikely that the G was replaced. But it fits in with the others perfectly, so I think maybe you are right.

if it's just a nickel plated string, with some life on it's shoulder and the correct gauge, you won't tell the difference between a D'Addario or Ernie Ball, or similar, both in terms of sound and tension.

if it was a different winding material or core, you would've noticed some bigger differences.
