String noise help

I am working.on a new riff for Sunday worship.
I just switched to roundwounds from flats. I noticed a noise when I pluck the strings is this normal or poor technique. I. Assuming a little from column a a lot from column b.
No ego here any tips are appreciated. Keep in mind I've been
Playing more seriously for about 6 months.

correct. a little of both.
You'll want to adjust technique to the point that the squeaking which remains quiet is buried in the mix by the rest of the ensemble.

Just the pluck, not the fretting/unfretting squeaks? That’s probably the “attack” part of the note envelope which is the primary reason to use rounds instead of flats.

Were it the fretting-hand squeaks I’d be recommending using a distortion pedal while practicing primarily to bring the squeaks up in prominence to get better at minimizing them and secondarily to raise your tolerance to them…
