Am after string suggestions for my Squier short scale Jaguar, bass is short scale but i have no issue with cutting down long scale strings if needed, done it with other basses with no issues.
Basically am hoping others with this bass can advise what roundwounds they use that sound good with this bass, I have tried pro-steels but strangely on this bass they actually sounded kind of dull, I dont think the strings were dead I just think maybe they were nota good match for the jaguar bass accoustically , fwiw I favour an aggressive tone and I have modded the bass with Seymour duncan vintage p pickup and quarter pounder j pickup, both of which seem kind of scooped
