I have recently finished my second contra-bass 4string. 880mm scale, cedar double-top. So far the only suitable strings I have found are the Hannabach 841 MT4S.90. Savarez makes a string for this instrument but the tension is so high that it is like a steel string. Does anybody have any input on string manufacturers for this instrument.
