Double Bass Strings for Psychobilly bass and folk?

The Sugar Slaps take about two weeks to settle into pitch; but they don’t sound metallic at all. Are there any setup issues with your bass? The Sugar Slaps are the closest sounding string to gut I have ever played on.
My sugar slaps might be slightly different than yours which might cause the metallic noise but if you check the other stuff I posted you’ll see me figuring out the setup and the fact my bridge just snapped into 2 trying to tune the bass

Can you get in touch with an experienced bass player in your area?
There is definitely something wrong with your bass and you need help to find out what it is.
Some information about bridges:
If you look at a bass bridge from its side, you should notice there's a right angle between the feet and back of the bridge; the side toward the tailpiece.
A quick drawing:

If the right angle is toward the fingerboard, then the bridge is mounted the wrong way, and this may explain the fact it snapped two times.
If the bridge has no right angle at all, then you need a new bridge.

Hope this helps!

I don’t know an experienced bass player but we are going to a luthier shop. If you look at the photos of my bass I posted before the bridge snapped you will see the bridge is VERY off from how it’s supposed to be (not fully my fault for the bridge snapping I guess 😅) maybe I’ll have to contact the seller and ask why they sold me the bass with a bad bridge
