I want to buy new strings
and i want Red Hot Chili Peppers Sound
so if anyone have an idea for a company or something it will be good.
and another question
What is the differences the size of the strings makes in the bass
I mean

What brand of bass do you have? What pickup type does it have? Flea uses GHS Bass Boomers, and has a signature set even, but you'll never sound exactly like Flea. The usual wisdom is that lighter strings have less tension, and more treble, where as hevier strings have more tension, and a bassier sound. Flea uses 45-105, which is in between.

So there you have it.

Like fetfet says, lighter strings have less tension and heavier strings have more tension. Thus, lighter strings are generally easier to press down to the frets, but they are also "floppier" than heavier gauge strings. This is not a bad vs. good situation, they are just different.

I'd try out the Flea signature set of GHS's but keep in mind that Flea sounds the way he does vastly because of his style, attack and experience, not nearly as much because of his strings...
