Strings with a lower volume on the E string

When i was reading comments, I noticed that some brands and types have a lower volume on the E strings. But i dont find it back. The reason is that I will put them on my daughters short scale SBMM stingray. This bass has a very loud E string. Can anybody help me further? Thanks!

Try Drop the E side pickups height, suggest 3.5mm on E and 2.5mm on G (measure/adjust while press the E and G string on last fret. ) ; and try adjust the action from 2.4mm E string, 2.3mm A string, 2.2mm D string and 2.1mm(2.0mm) G string .

Hope help.

Pickup height and how the string is "set" once installed can make a difference. If one string seems particularly dull or lifeless immediately after install it should clue you to make sure there's no issue towards the ball end of the string.
