Hi there bassist!
a few month ago I was watching a "tiny desk" concert of Thom Yorke and his actual band, and I noticed that all of his basses (played by him of Greenwood) had a set of flatwound strings with blu silk on G, D and A and red silk on the E.
however, they were basses where it was impossible to see the silk at the bridge (through body or covered), so I thought that they were something like a set with switched E string.
today I saw this:
where on screen, John Paul Jones shows this Jazz with strings that have blu silk on G, D and A and red silk on the E string, BUT near the end there's a close-up at the bridge, and I noticed that the E string's silk is blue!
so this is probably an actual set of strings with that particular detail on the E string.
anyone knows which set is it?
