Stu Hamm Urge (I) pickup switch

After playing my Stu Hamm sig for a couple of weeks, I've been thinking about changing one of the pickups (either the Js or the P pickup, I haven't decided). I like how the pickups sound, but the J and P pickups sound pretty similar to me, and I think if I change say the P pickup I could really expand the tonal horizons of this bass.

I'm looking for a really fat, wet, funk tone to contrast the smooth sound of the two Js already on this bass. So far I'm looking at these two pickups

My other question is will most pickups work with my bass? The bass has a preamp on it, and both active and passive modes. I've seen pickups marketed as both active and passive. If I had to choose I primarily play active.

TLDR: want to replace a P pickup on a stu hamm, is it a good idea, anyone have experiance with these pickups, and will it work for both active and passive? Should I change Js instead?
