Stuck in a rut

So I'm at the stage again where i'm ready to start clean again....

I've been playing Eden gear for quite some time now..
I'm running a Highwayman WT500 with a 4x10xlt and an Eden 1x15(not to sure on the model)
i love the warmth i get when i just use the 15, but when together, it's just not the same...


i want to get all new gear, i was thinking about trying out the new Aguilar Tone Hammer with the DB 210 and DB115...
i have yet to try them out for myself, but i can use the help...or maybe suggestions on something completly different!

I play different genres of music and styles from reggae to funk/ tapping/ chords...and so on..

i would really appreciate help!

On a side note i have a old svt 3 pro and a swr 15 inch cab for easyer transport and it sounds great with p bass and 5 or 6 strings. It is a cheap little rig that sounds different than the king but still very usable!!!!

First of all, before spending a bunch of money, figure out which cab you like he most. If it's the 115, buy another one and sell the 410xlt. Those two cabs together sound like garbage because they are not the same cab. You most likely have phasing issues because both cabs are putting out the same tone in two different ways. Plus, that particular 410 can handle WAY more than the 115 can. So when the 410 is doing just fine at the gig, the 115 can easily reach it's limits.

I highly suggest using two of the same cabs. When boosting one frequency on the head - both cabs will put out the same tone.

Anytime you hook up different type cabs (410 , 115, 212, etc) to an amp you'll likely get unwanted sound with a mis-matched cab chain.

if you need to connect more than 1 cab, you should connect the same type cab. 2 X 115 2 X 410 2 X 212, etc.

You like the tone from the Eden 115. I would recommend adding another 115 (doesnt really need to be an Eden) instead of starting from scratch. Of course, speaker impedance is a consideration here.

I'm using an SVT 6 Pro with two SVT 410 HE cabs. The pre-amp has two tubes and the driver has 4. This is combined with a Mosfet power amp. 1,100 watts at 4 ohms. It sounds great and at 41 pounds is about half the weight of an SVT all tube head. I like having the two 410 cabs because they are easier to transport than an 810 and sound just as good.

I don't agree with that statement. The result of pairing two 15's of different companies is unpredictable. It could work out well in the end, but it could sound quite terrible. Best to stay with the same brand and same size cab - the results are 99% positive. The other 1% include cabs that wired incorrectly or contain blown speakers.
