I was at the studio a few weeks back. Thought I'd throw some pics up of the rig I used. This (4x12) Bassman cab was already in the studio waiting patiently for some juice....unlike anything I've ever seen/heard before! Absolutely amazing paired up w/ my V-4B. If only I could gig with that rig LOL.

OMG, I had one of those cabinets when they first came out, way back in....HAd it under my Bassman135 head.
Even better, I at some point decided it would be be cool to paint the ply wedges a neon green and leave the grill off at gigs. Looked liked some horrible 4 eyed bug or something. And for what it's worth, I actually loved the tone of that cab. Of course back then the standards were a bit different than today.

+1 GREAT in studio. Rubbish Live!! We used to use one for our drum machine's Kick drum back in early 80's :p Big, cumbersome & sound great at low volumes! Wicked looking tho, w/ the spkrs all angled in-eh???

Agreed! The engineer at the studio said someone dropped it off for free and he's never replaced anything, but had it for years. It sounded kickass once we sealed off the room through the headphones. Once we get our recordings mastered, I'll post some stuff.

I'm surprised no one else had any cool pics to post of vintage studio gear though...:rolleyes:

This was my experience with that cab, back around 1976. I had one with a Bassman 100 head.
It sounded pretty nice at low levels, and mic'd, but expecting to put out a lot of sound was gonna leave you disappointed.
