Stuff without drummists

Our drummer is emigrating, selfish git. He's exceptional and will be a difficult stool to fill.

Given it's gonna take a looooooong time to find a adequate replacement, we're wondering what we can do to write a giggable but drumless set.

Any examples anyone can think of? Acoustic stuff perhaps? But with a group not one man and his guitar. We only do originals but needs some ideas.

It can be done.
My current band is drum free and doing well in the small club market. We're playing mostly classic covers using acustic guitars/mandolin/fiddle and electric bass. Obviously song selection is important but not as limiting as you might think.
