I tend to be very conservative financially. The thought of spending that kinda dough on a bass makes me queasy. That having been said, lately every time that I see a Rickenbacker 4003sw I survey my music room to see what I might sell to finance such an extravagance.

The most famous Alembic ever made was a short scale. They should be able to hook you up.

Ooh... that's an easy one to answer. A lefty one of these. Alembic Stanley Clarke Signature Standard bass. It's the only bass I can think of (except one other Alembic) that will fill the "Short Scale Neck-Thru" spot in my herd. I have to admit that the $$$'s one of these would cost is an object, but... if I want to fill that spot badly enough? It's not a totally insurmountable object...
