hey,
not trying to be pesky by asking this, but I've been playing acoustic instruments for most of my life. I bought a cheap epiphone eb-0 bass guitar and the pickup is absolutely terrible. it is way too high so playing slap and fingerstyle are a challenge not to mention it sounds like a walrus passing gas. could I stick a P bass pickup in there? because It is set up for a cheap epiphone humbucker sidewinder pickup. I don't want to buy another bass, just yet, I still have to get used to electrics. I was looking at the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders, The regular Fender P bass pickups, or a Dimarzio model one dp-120 which actually designed as a direct repacement for the Gibson version. The dimarzio I fear will be to high for me to play fingerstyle and slap on though. any tips and positive comments are really appreciated. thanks alot.
