Sub N Up

Hey everyone.

I have a Sub N Up but when I run the octave up with the dry signal dialed out, it does fine on the higher strings. But on the lower strings, it doesn't generate the upper octave but keeps the same. Does anyone else have this problem and would a POG do the same thing or better?

Its possible the patch has a high pass filter for the upper octave that doesn't let your lower notes through. You could program a toneprint that doesn't have one. I personally prefer octave pedals that have less filtering than the Sub'n'up. Try a Pitch Fork perhaps?

Thank you! I wouldn't mind a pitchfork. I would like to add a 5th to my octave as well. Any experience with Hog or Pog? I could always run two pitchforks...

I'm looking for an octaver and not sure between a Pog nano, sub n up mini or regular or a pitch fork.
At best I would want to go 2 octaves up and one down. Only the pitch fork would do this. Or can I programme the sub n up so the second octave down becomes an extra octave up?
The big pog seems to be to big and to much overkill. In the nano pog I would defiantly lose the second octave up. So it would have to make up in sound quality...

For two octave up I have always used the bass pitch shift in Zoom pedals, they wisely have a tone control and a fine pitch to shave off some of the chirp factor making it much more musical sounding to my ear.

If so, you may get tempted to look at the Fishman Fission...don't bother. I found it a major dissapointment. For the record, I use a POG2 on my big bass board, and a Sub mini on my small one, octave up only. If I need 5ths, I just play them. The Pitch Fork is more of a whammy pedal to me.

I have a Sub N Up--I also considered a Pitchfork and almost went with that, but the Sub N up works better for what I do.
I haven't tried the settings the OP mentioned though--maybe I'll give it a shot.

There are so many Octaver options out there--you should get the one that fits best with what you want out of it.
(And my Sub N Up is going on my guitar board and a Mooer on my Bass board)
