For my money, the DLX wins hands down, due to the frequency control and 4-6-8 stage modes.
One on the way. Looking forward to it!
I baulked at the Empress, just not interested at 2 or 3 stage phasing......
BTW - anyone used an expression pedal with their DLX yet?
What pedals will work with them?
My Iron Ether modded VB jr (Robot Factory will do the same mod) worked perfectly with it.

That would likely be what swayed my decision as well. The frequency control is a fantastic option (and the best part of the original Quasar IMO) and having 6 and 8 stages available is a huge bonus to me.
I have always found 2 stage phasers too subtle on bass.
That said, the Quasar has LFO noise. Not huge levels, but it's definitely there. While I haven't tried the Empress, my guess (based on owning all their other products) is that it would be whisper quiet.
