Double Bass Successor to Acoustic Image?

Not to make too fine a point of it but Acoustic Image was a bass amp, built by bassists for bassists. It’s unlikely that we’ll ever see this again. A successor to that companies mission would be pretty rare.
...but very highly welcomed! I use my Clarus ALL the time. I have loaned it to a guitarist I play with often, and he loves it. Just a great simple amp!

I understand Henrikson is working on an amp with the features we need...2 channel, phantom, phase, hpf, 4 bands, blah blah. If I am mistaken, someone please correct me. Super excited to see that come to fruition!

I know the GR Acoustic amp gets a lot of praise, as well. Ric, I know you are a huge fan. I would love to try one in person with my bass!

Can you imagine if Grace branched out into making a combo? Good Lord!

Let's hope for someone with the spirit, knowledge, skills and means as Ric makes it happen. Channeling the Professor now...

Would be amazing, but Grace isn’t an amplifier designer. Their main business is very high quality microphone preamps. The pivot to building musical instrument preamps, was a logical and I would venture profitable extension of their core business. Moving to combos, would put them in competition with a gazillion other amplifier companies. A high end Double Bass combo is a rare bird. They don’t exactly jump of the shelves. Just my take.

I'm not sure what the plan is exactly, but Peter says it will be out later this year, hopefully.
