hi uh im not sure if this has been posted before, but i just wanted hear some suggestions for bass guitars that work well playing jazz styles like bossa nova or just swing? and perhaps also able to play rock and such? thanks very much!

Fender jazz bass aerodyme edition. Its a pretty smooth bass.

I get confused cuz when I look at replacements for the j pickups for the fender jazz basses (or any jazz bass" it says they are goo for rock, metal and pop and stuff. Why call it a "jazz bass" pick up then?
