This particular bass is made of solid ash with an 'Aqua Timber' maple neck and an Indian rosewood fingerboard. The action is low and fast... really spectacular setup right out of the box. The neck is a C-shape, not too thick or thin.
This is a beautiful jazz-style, passive 5-string with Sugi handmade pickups… classic jazz tone with versatility that almost feels like an active bass. The 35" scale gives a nice, even balance across the strings, including a really good B string.
The bass is lightweight at a very comfortable 8.75lb and is in mint condition. Priced to sell and worth every penny!
New (2021), this bass was $3500-3600 USD, depending on the JPY conversion rate. Add $200 for international shipping from Japan and another 10% for customs. Over $4k all-in. This is a bass that could quickly become someone's #1. It's a gem of a bass at a great price.
