Double Bass Summer Festivals

Let me hear your thoughts on any festivals you have attended. Or if this thread exists elsewhere, direct me to it.

hmmm, I haven't gone to too many but I have played at a few. One was pretty nice, professional stage and sound, the band performances were the primary event for that evening so the audience was real good and it was fun to play. We did another one, more of a county fair and the bands set up behind the stadium and our time slot was during the tractor pulls, you could barely hear out band over the sounds from the statium, plus everyone was there that event, not the bands.

Do you mean like Orchestral Summer Festivals? Last year I participated in Eastern Music Festival. I got to study with Rob Nairn and play tons of great music. I couldn't recommend it enough.
