Does anyone have an accurate chart for Summer Wind, in D (I think - D is the first note when the singing comes in, though the intro starts in G)? I need to know it tomorrow, I'm going to bed, and there's no way I'm figuring it out by ear and remembering it. It would be greatly appreciated. If it can't be posted here, I can be emailed at [email protected] Thanks in advance. PS. I can't read, and am hoping for lyrics with the chords written in or something like that .
Thanks, but I looked up a bunch of tabs and charts myself and couldn't find any in the proper key. That ain't in the key Sinatra (nor my band) does it in. Need it as requested, where the lyrics (the summer wind) start in D.
I'm sure Febs got you going. Once you have a chart in a key you can transpose it into any other key you like in less than three minutes. Chord chart is in F and you want to go to D. Put the F chords to paper then put the D chord under that. F,. Gm, Am,. Bb, C, Dm, Em7b5 D, Em, F#m, G,. A, Bm,. C#m7b5 Take a black marks-a-lot and mark through all the F's with a D. All the Gm's with an Em, Bb's become G and C's become A, etc. All you need is a chart of all the chords in every key. Google to the rescue: Chords In The Key Of F Then same site gives Chords In The Key Of D
Thanks guys. Actually had a few minutes this morning, and realized it's a stupidly simple song. In an effort to help last night, they sent me the isolated bass, drums and vocals - asking if I could get it for today. I jumped in... listened to it, and freaked. There was no effing way I was going to be able to do that, and remember it with only about an hour to put into it. I panicked. Downloaded the actual song today, and realized it's the same simple thing, 3X moving up a whole step each time. I appreciate the efforts to help, but I got this!!!! It's a fun song too. Just not fun to learn n4n, which wasn't about to happen.
If you have an iPad, you might want to look into an app called iReal Pro. There's a downloadable database of several thousand tunes (chord charts, no lyrics) and it'll transpose to any key. Just for grins I looked up Summer Winds - its in there! It has an audio feature (piano, bass, drums) that you can play along with to learn any tune. Great for on-the-fly tunes.
Where can you download that DB? When I purchased the program they had discontinued including the thousands of charts. I heard they got in trouble for that! The transposition capability is terrific! Thanks.
I believe that the primary way to download the songs databases is from inside the Forums section (look for the small globe icon on the bottom left). Once there you'll see a link that says "Quickly download Main Playlists". The ones that are most useful are Jazz and Pop, Rock, & Blues. Not sure but I think that you may have to log in to use the Forum feature. With it, you can search for and find lots of other tune charts that members post, listed under threads. Also in the Tutorials, there is one that shows how to download Playlists. Hope this helps -
