Superalloys E String going dead

I’ve been using Infield Superalloys for years, and they’ve always lasted me a long time — usually over a year. Recently, I put a set on my Gibson Thunderbird and noticed that the E string is going dead much sooner than the others.

I just put on my last spare set, but I’ve never had this issue with any of my other basses. These strings have been my go-to roundwounds for years, but given the cost, I may have to consider switching if this keeps happening.

Hang on to that E in case they want to see it....I accidentally cut a Superalloy A string a little too short when restringing, they(TI/Connolly Music)wouldn't sell me a single to replace it.
