Superfuzz or brassmaster

hey guys. A friend of mine has a Ss/Bs Buzzz that he was gonna get rid of it and asked if I’d want to buy it. It’s based off of the superfuzz (I think). So when I checked out clips I found that a lot of the tones were available in the depth charge which I have always heard is a brassmaster style clone. Is the depth charge more of a superfuzz than a brassmaster? I’ve always been a muff guy and have recently started venturing into a lot of other fuzz pedals and don’t have a boat load of experience with them. Now perhaps the clips I’ve heard were not insightful of everything the buzzz can do but I didn’t want to buy a fuzz that’s gonna cover the same territory as what I have. I had my mind set on a superfuzz so I’d have one of each on my board. (Superfuzz, muff, brassmaster) but now I’m wondering if it’s actually maybe a brassmaster style fuzz I’m looking for to fill out my final fuzz flavors and compliment what I’ve got.

While I cannot speak to your main question, I have a Buzzz for my Superfuzz needs and I love it. I think it has enough low end energy to be felt without a blend, but I love it in one too. To me the Buzzz is the best Superfuzz Variant out there because of it's completely amazing flexibility. So many tones are available in it. You will not be going wrong with a Buzzz regardless of whether you want a Brassmaster or not.
