SUSE vs. Ubuntu Linux

Anyone out there tried both of these? Which one do you prefer?
I've tried ubuntu but I would like to know how user-friendly suse is before i try linux again.

They're both fine operation systems. I had better luck on my machines with things working in Ubuntu rather than openSUSE, but there's so many different configurations that one will probably work better than the other.

Have you been using live CDs or installing? Using a live cd is definitely the way to go as it lets you see how the OS will work on your computer without installing.

Haven't used the live install but i've had Ubuntu on my computer before (even on my older system) and it worked perfectly. Just a little frustrating to use. I think this time I will try Kubuntu.
