SVP-Pro/Shuttle 6.0 Effects loop?

I read the shuttle manual as well as the SVP-Pro manual and it still isnt clear to me if I want to try to run one preamp into the other through the Effects loop.
I can only think of 2 ways to do it first would be to send the signal out of the main preamp effects loop to the input jack of the second preamp and then from the second preamp effects out back to the main preamps effect return.
The second way I thought of would be to hook the main preamp effects loop to the second preamp effects but then that seems like you would be bypassing the input circuit.
Im pretty sure that it is the first explanation but I would rather ask than risk hurting either unit.

If it were me, I'd just keep it simple and run one preamp's output into the other's input and forget the effects loops. They suck anyway, IMHO. To me, loops either sound the same as going straight in, or they sound worse.

Wouldnt that be to much gain for the input of the second preamp do to the fact it is used to getting input from a Bass with a lower output voltage?

I have the SVP-Pro and the Shuttle 6.0.

I didn't try running one preamp into another but I did run the bass through the SVP to the Shuttle's Effects Loop Recieve jack and found no reason to favor the tone of the SVP over the stock preamp. The SVP added a lot of noise and the tone was very disappointing.

Im not sure that I will gain anything I just thought that it would be interesting to try it out.
I just ordered a GK Preamp and I will be curious to see how that sounds,I had a GK 400-RB awhile back and really like the tone but I couldnt get it to cut through the mix very well.
I really like the tone of my SVP-Pro but I havent achived the holy grail tone yet,I am getting really close though.
If I could combine a SWR Grand Prix,SVP-Pro and a Shuttle then I think that I could rest.
Like I said I really like my SVP-Pro especially with the new tubes so I am really just playing aroung with some extra GAS cash.
