SVT-2pro vs Bassman 300 Pro

there just wasn't any magic spark either (and when it comes to new gear, the mojo is half the purchase... the other half is the tone. this amp had neither.

I was actually looking for an amp for my baritone guitar... to pair with a pair of orange 412 cabs since I could run this 300watter at 8Ohms. (something louder then my orange 120watter)
figured at worst i could get a nice clean tube tone and add pedals, but the amp just sounded sterile no matter how I tweaked it (I tried).
I might just rewire my 412 cabs to be 4Ohms each and run them with the 2pro head I already have @ 2ohms.

(and yes, the style of music I play warrants the dumb loud volumes i'm seeking)
