SVT-8 PRO...

I did a search on it, and have done it a lot recently, but there's almost no info on it, so... I better ask, anybody has any experience with it? It looks very a very interesting and powerfull amp, at 2000 watts and with a simple EQ layout seems like a good option. I'm in love with mi SVT-VR, but sometimes I want something lighter for those gigs that don't ask for a pure vintage valve tone... Any thoughts?

I'm really surprised that this head has almost no info on it around here... Maybe it was bad timming from Ampeg? You know, with all the outsourcing stuff going on...

BTW, I had the 2000 watts wrong... It is 2500 at 2 ohms, and 1300 at 4 ohms.. and it is only 23 pounds... That's very amazing.

I'm really interested to know how the tube emulation overdrive thing sounds. One thing's for sure, at the price in the UK I'm not going to order one for the hell of it just to give it a run.

I've recently ordered a TBP-1 anyway so maybe my portable rack setup is almost there.

I'd still like to try the 8Pro given a chance. Does anyone have any soundclips of the overdrive?

then manufacturing was shipped to Asia, and nothing has reached market since. So unless you find one on eBay, or here for sale, you're waiting like the rest of us.

The worst part of it is that this amp seems to be the bomb... I mean it, I really want one.
