not according to tom bowlus. he said the heritage cabs are noticeably better than the current loud cabs, which are, as you said, very good, but could be improved. the normal loud cabs use drivers made by eminence china, and these are using usa eminence drivers custom made for ampeg. plus that black sparkle grillcloth looks beautiful. i could be tempted to get one if i could afford it and didn't already have an old 810 from 73.
I will definitely report back after I have a chance to do a more direct comparison, but what struck me at the NAMM show was the enhanced clarity and articulation (but it was still plenty full and punchy).
