Hey just curious. The SVT VR comes with 6550 Sovtek tubes. Anyone have any recoomendations on using different tubes. Or are these Sovteks the best new tubes out there for this amp. Does changing the 6550 tubes to another brand change the sound that much?

I would stick with the sovteks that are in there now. They are rated one of the best new power tubes for getting the vintage svt growl. You might want to experiment with the preamp tubes though as that will make more of a difference.
