Swap pickguards?

Hello there. I recently picked up the CME exclusive Fender ultra jazz bass in mystic pine and, while I love everything about it, am not sure how I feel about the gold pickguard on it. I also have the cobra blue ultra jazz bass and have been debating swapping pickguards.

If it were me, I’d swap them just to see the visual effect.

Those are both great colors, I'd try no guard or clear, if there aren't holes under the guard.

Unfortunately there are holes under the guard

If it were up to me I'd put the mint on the green one and get a black guard for the blue one.

I think the white guard would look fine on the green bass (because of the white blocks). But I don't think the gold guard would look very good on the blue.

I put on a tortoise pickguard...

That tort looks a lot nicer than I thought it would on the green. I actually like tort a lot, but there are some colors I don't like it on. I thought green would be one of those colors, but you changed my mind.!

These aren’t the best pictures but I did end up making the swap. I think the green looks great with the mint guard, but I’m not convinced by the blue with the gold guard so I’m probably going to swap them back. I am hoping to get a mint or tort guard at some point for the green

I ordered these from Canada; Greasy Groove. Only place I could find tortoise for Ultra Jazz/deluxe J post 2010 (exact same size and holes)
