Ok been running a B200H with 2 B115's with our band for a month or two now.. When it was one guitar, the bass and the drum machine everything was fine.
In fact at times that Acoustic rig overpowered my Marshall JCM800 2204 (with a JCM800 4x12)..
So as of december, there are now two guitars, and a new bass player (using my Acoustic rig) and hes getting pushed back now..
He can definitely still be heard but it just sounds to me like he should be on top a little more than he is.
I run my head with the gain at about noon, and the volume is around 3:00 or so. Grind comes from a good old Boss HM-2.
Hes got to keep up with my 50 watt JCM800 2204 and the other guys Mesa Mark IV (which is set at 50watts as well)
Im wondering if I swap one of the B115s with a B410 if maybe that will make things cut through and get back up there?
Theres a used 8 ohm GK 410 around here I can pick up for less than $150 but Im hoping GC will return one of my B115s and I can get a B410 for $100 more instead of being stuck with a third bass cab.
Does any of that make any sense?? Basically he needs to be just a little bit louder but dropping $500 on the B600H is not going to happen anytime soon (B200H is already over a month old so I dont think I can return that and upgrade)..
Would a 410/115 stack maybe put out a bit more volume-wise???
We've got a 600w Mackie PA which handles vocals and the drum machine duties but I have a feeling also relying on it to help out with the bass too isnt going to cut it.
Sorry for more newbie questions but this is still my first bass rig so Im hoping my guitar knowledge (add another 4x12=LOUDER ensues) works the same over on the low end..
So new 4x10 cab for around $100 or do I just wait and get a B600H one of these days and deal with the lack of heaviness until then?? Down the road Id like to replace one of the B115s for a 410 anyways maybe its just the time now (Didnt have the extra $$$ for the B200H and B410 at the time).
Oh, and if someone can convince the misses that I need that B600H go for it, Ill get one next week haha.
