I can't remember the band that sang it. Help!
Melissa by the Allman Brothers.
Google is your friend!!
(Or any other Search Engine of course. )
My band is doing a heavy version of that tune.. we're calling it "Metal Melissa". Kind of a hybrid of "Melissa" and Metallica's "Metal Militia". It's fun.
Only if you can spell.
Veri troo, veri troo.
If the song is what i think it is its just called melissa and its by the Allman Brothers.
I'll third that!
It's on one of my favorite albums of all times -- "Eat a Peach".

Oh, jeez! That was just used on a TV commercial...
What's the name of that song?

Oh- "Melissa" by the Allman Brothers!
Actually, it's "Melissa" by the Allman Brothers Band.
Leave it now - just leave it, OK?
An utterly simple and terrific bass line. Great tone, and has that classic tone of the era.
Dickey Betts aint' noodlin' there either It's one of those songs where every note is well placed.
