I have a Spector Legend 6 bass with active Spector tone pump jr. Electronics and passive SSD pickups. I was just trying to make sure that, if I were to switch the pickups out with active EMG 45DC's, I won't have to drill anything or have it be such a hassle. And I'd also like to know the same thing for if I switch out the EQ for the EMG BQC system (my bass has four knobs, and the EMG EQ also has four knobs, two of them, stacked). Thanks in advance for the help!

Switching pickups and EQ system

Changing pickups does not require drilling. Changing preamps only requires drilling if you change the control scheme. Even if that is the case, you usually have options such as concentric or push/pull pots.
