Swr 750x purchase.

Hello. Today I was looking through the CL adds and saw what appears to be a remarkable deal. SWR 750x, Korg tuner, rack, and Goliath III cab. 650.00.
I am an ampeg fan through and through. I know utterly nothing about SWR.
I am more interested in the bad things. Is this a great deal or should I steer clear of SWR? Thanks!

Killer gear. I've been using it for 20 yrs.
Price seems pretty market correct

I'd jump on it if I were in the market, no problem!
I tried the 550x at the store when I bought my WM 2004 and WM 4X10 cabinet, sounded great.
I've since picked up a Bass 350 which is plenty of power for me.
Works great, sounds great, a little on the heavy side, but normal for the era.

Sounds like a good deal. Since you are an Ampeg fan expect a totally different sound from SWR, unless you add a SansAmp.

Bass @ 12 o'clock. Mids 200hz. Mid level @ 3:00. Bass boost off. Limiter off.
