SWR chrome 350 head

I'm curious how this amp sounds. It would be a practice/ back up head to my 70s v4b. I use it with a svt410he which is an 8 ohm cab. This amp is 240 w at 8ohm ....at gigs my v4b is clean and sometimes its just at the edge. For big gigs I use 2 cabs but 90% of the time I use one cab

Typical swr. Very flat with a slight cut around 200hz. Good reliable solid sounding amp there. Nothing at all like a v4 however

I use the older redface version (Basic 350) and love the sound of it. I use it at 8ohms and it sounds great that way.

My guess is that if you like the Ampeg tone you will probably dislike the SWR tone. I had a SM500, couldnt stand it. I thought it was dull and boring. Sold it after picking up a $200 Ashdown.

I have an SWR 350 I use for a back up and practice at home rig. I gigged with it a few times as well. I like the amp very much and have never had a problem with it.
It's certainly not going to compete with your v4b but a good amp for the right price.

Still own mine. Basic 350 (chrome) with Bigfoot II. Used it for awhile. 4 ohm cab gave me the 350 watt out put. Also that head will go 2 ohm and advertised at 450 watts.
