I have an otherwise normal, good sounding (not great, but 100 bucks makes it a good player for the price) unit that will make a piercing sqwawk, or chirp, which is pretty dang loud, when it gets the switch flipped. I have seen this on other LA12s, and think this may be something someone encountered and fixed. Would anyone here any ideas on this?
1. handy with an iron, meter, and can read a schematic and have stuffed/cleaned up boards.
2. Like the sound of the unit, just don't want to trash it by action or inaction (if this is a sign of something about to blow, I would want to know, but I have had it for a couple of years with no issues other than the chirp).
IdeaS?
