SWR People: Preamp Similarities Between Models Question

Hi and a hopeful, forward and happy New Year to all! I've got one for the sages here.

I have a Basic Black combo I use in tandem with a Basic 2-Way cab. I have always loved the sound of the Basic 350 head, and I suppose it has mostly to do with the preamp circuit. I also dig my combo set up, though I could wish for more power sometimes... but I wonder how similar the two pres are in these amps?

I have owned a Bassic 350 and the Bass 350 which replaced the Bassic 350 and they are indeed great sounding amps with decent power. If I recall correctly, the preamp in the Bassic Black is similar to the Bassic 350.
