The head I am planning on using is a Carvin B1500. Which would you guys choose. I dont live near an SWR dealer or a Carvin dealer. I do have a Carvin 2x10 (not a BRX or a Neo, just the cheap one), and I like it alright. I play metal and hard rock and im competing with 2 guitarists. Right now im using an old 100 watt Fender combo and its at about 8/10 and Im matching them decenetly, but not enough for a larger show. I do think the SWR has a sweet grill, I love the metal (to bad Mesa is freaking spendy)!

Well, I've owned Workingpro stuff and have no complaints about tone or quality....but for the money I think you're getting much more from the Carvin. Its 20lbs lighter, goes louder and is rated at over 800 watts greater than the SWR 4x10. Plus you're going with the Carvin head. I'd be asking "Why shouldn't I get the BRX10.4 ?" :confused:

I simply can't believe you can compete with anything, using only 100 watts into a 2x10 - much less playing hard rock/metal with two guitarists. That doesn't even correspond to the laws of physics. Not at any volume anyway... :rollno:

If you think you've been getting by with the gear you now have, go ahead and get the B1500/BRX 10.4 combo. You won't know how you ever managed to live without it... :eek:
