SX and Fender Parts compatibility Q's?

Any chance if I order an SX URSA that I can put a Fender 60's RI MIM neck on it without having to move heaven and earth?

I bought an SX bass body off of ebay and the neck pocket is much to large to even think about mounting putting this neck on it. The SX neck I have of course fits it well.

Any thoughts?

IIRC, while the Ursa headstock is different, the neck dimensions are still the same. At least where it connects to the body... If it doesn't fit an old SX, it probably wont fit a new one either.

You might have to sand the neck pocket or shim the neck.

Hmmm. Its the depth and the side to side fit. ugh....

I was curious about this too, what exactly do you mean by side to side fit?
I did some reading and shimming the neck for depth seems easy enough, but side to side?
What does that require?
