Lookin' for a cheap fretless, and the $99 SX Fretless P bass looks like the right price. I play fretless very little, but it comes in handy three or four times a year for some tunes. I looked at but haven't played the Dean Pace, and I don't want to spring $400 for a fretless I used very little, especizlly if it doesn't sound like an upright. I'd be happy to have the mwah of a regular bass guitar. Anybody have an SX fretless? If so, how's it sound? I'm not expecting it to compare with my Laklands.
