SX jazz bass

Two of my students have SX precisions. Both are playable nicely, setup can be done with no problems (including truss rod), the tuning of frets is not perfect but similar to what I seen on Fenders. Sounds like precision bass to my ears. To me it is good beginner bass, which can also be used on stage.

I had a SX 75 JB, it was a excellent bass, easily one of the best Jazz basses I ever owned. I did put a Dimarzio Model J in the neck. As the say good bones, perfectly usable out of the box, your choice of upgrades and you can end up with something special. I've spent far more and gotten far less

Quite a few on here have at least one, some of us, like me, have many. I'm a fan.

They are solid basses. Some consider them mod platforms. For me, with a setup and for the Js a shield and series parallel mod they are players.

Yes, I have modded some too, but I play some of mine out stock.
