Sx or Squire?

If you're comparing to a Squier P that costs $200.00 or less, then get the SX. Use the money that you save to get new strings and a set-up.

Now, if you're comparing an SX to a modified Squire vintage P, I haven't tried one of those, so that may be a different story. Try before you buy.

My preferance is for the SX myself. I have, and gig two of them. Nothing wrong wtih the Squiers. They're respectable instruments. I have played the new Vintage Modified, and it's a step up over the Affinity series, but I still prefer the SX basses overall. Even if the SX was more expensive than the Vintage Modified, I'd still go with the SX. More in line with the traditional Vintage Fender basses than the Squiers are.
