SX people please identify this?

Except that it has a soft maple (force fed) body, not ash and even at MF costs about twice what I paid for my 5 string SX. I do presume that the next time Kurt has these the price will be closer to the Squirer.

Yeah, not to mention the Squire doesn't have 70s pick up spacing...

Don't get me wrong the Squire VM jazz is a beast of a bass and a great player. I'm just a huge fan of the 70s spacing, the neck profile of my SX, and the larger body style. :D
 
I've owned a ton of SX basses over the last few years but have never seen a model with that neck/body combo. Rondo sold a bunch of those necks separately and the body looks like a standard SJB-62 (alder). So IMO this is not a model ever made by SX but is instead a bass with

I disagree about that body probably being a standard alder. It most certainly looks like my Ash-bodied SJB75 4+1.
