SX vs Omega (Rondo Music)

I'm looking for a cheap jazz bass, looking to spend under $200 (I know, I should spend more. Maybe someday).

Browsing Rondo music, I've noticed the new Omega bass line. Does anyone have any experience with this, or the SX line? Would I be better off getting some sort of Squire, either new or used? I haven't found much info on omega.

Ive got one of the SX Ursa 2 jazz bass and i enjoy it. Action came a mile high and the stock strings aren't great, but a set up and some new strings and I have been playing it almost exclusively lately.

The Omega is below the SX in terms rondo's lines. I have many SX basses, and consider them great values. I say get the SX... first. Then try the Omega.

For $99 (with thinnish gig bag) and a modest shipping charge, that bass is practically free. I keep one where I rehearse.
