I worked at Alex Music off and on from 80-85. TM used to come in regularly and hand and play basses. he was always upbeat and I loved talking with him. the more I think about this, the sadder I get. RIP to you TM.

I thought I would share just some of the albums he has appeared on over the years. RIP TM.

The swing. No hesitation, planted, bouncing, fluid, propulsive and light.
The only recording I really know of that I listened to a lot is James Brown's Living in America from Rocky IV - I even had the 12" vinyl single! Stevie Ray Vaughan is on it too! Found an article referring to it:

Tragic loss, but also relieved that he has been released from his dementia. I'm sure he is creating some incredible music & grooves out there with those who have gone before!

His playing on 'Light of the Moon' has always knocked me out. Somehow TM always put his personality in every track he played on.
He and Bernie Worrell (and dynamite drummer Blair Cunningham) played a few live dates with The Pretenders. I wish I could have seen some of those shows, I've looked for boots of those performances and could never find them.

I built him a double-neck bass back in the mid-80's. 4-string and 8-string. One of a kind, just like him.
Wow sad news I met him at a guitar show here in the UK, & didn't really know much about him or what he had done.
But we chatted briefly and he had copies of his solo CD there so I bought one, just for the fact of how nice he was with me & the other bassists there that saw him.
