T-Rex Squeezer Compressor power supply HELP?

Hey everybody, i have a T-Rex Squeezer tube compressor that i am using with my current rig and it is the only pedal i am using. I'm plugging my bass directly into the T-Rex and then going out and directly into my amp. everything sounds great but my power supply for the T-Rex is shot. it's all broken and janky. electrical tape everywhere. I NEED a new power supply but its says i cant use anything but the specific supply that came with it. it is 12 volt by the way. so i went ahead and bought a cheap replacement off ebay but it doesn't work at all. no juice at all. even the tube inside won't light up. Is there a place i can buy a legit replacement power supply or am i gonna have to check with the manufacturer which is in the netherlands i think? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Many pedals have stickers on saying to not use any other power supplies. You can of course use others, but you need to know the current draw of the pedal, if it is DC or AC voltage, and if it is center negative or positive. Using the wrong supply may damage the pedal, so does the pedal still work with the old supply now?

1. Check that your new supply can supply at least 260mA (0.26A). Higher is good, most are typically around 500mA (0,5A) or higher. Lower is not good and may cause it to not work.
   
2. Check that it is center negative, there is usually a symbol on the sticker/label on the supply indicating the polarity of the tip and shield. Center positive could damage the pedal.
   
3. Check that it is 12v DC output (not AC).

Thanks for your help. it's center negative and i was able to find a nice replacement today on my lunchbreak. this is what's so awesome about talkbass. i really appreciate the help. cheers!
